ABOUT US
A Team That Builds AI
That Actually Gets Used
Elden is a Kuala Lumpur-based applied AI practice. We work with organisations that have real operational problems and want to explore whether AI can help — without the noise that usually surrounds the subject.

Where Elden Comes From
Elden started with a straightforward observation: many organisations in Malaysia were curious about AI but found it difficult to identify where it would actually be useful, and even harder to get a practical system built without a long and expensive consulting process.
We set up to address that gap. The practice focuses on three specific types of AI application — claims processing automation, document topic modelling, and AI opportunity mapping — chosen because they represent genuinely useful starting points for most organisations and because we are confident in building them well.
Based in Kuala Lumpur, we work with clients across Malaysia and are familiar with the operational context, data infrastructure, and industry dynamics that shape how AI needs to be designed here.
OUR MISSION
What We Are Trying to Do
We want to make applied AI accessible to organisations that are not yet large enough to build internal data science teams but have processes that would genuinely benefit from automation or improved insight generation.
Our work is not about deploying AI for its own sake. We care about whether the system gets adopted, whether it integrates with how people already work, and whether the value is measurable.

THE PEOPLE
Who Works on Your Project
Our team is small by design. Every engagement involves senior practitioners, not junior analysts working from a template.
Nadia Razman
LEAD AI PRACTITIONER
Leads technical design on claims processing and topic modelling projects. Background in computational linguistics and enterprise software deployment.
Karim Azlan
STRATEGY & SCOPING
Handles client scoping and AI opportunity mapping engagements. Spent a decade in operations management before moving into applied AI consulting.
Siti Thuraiya
DATA & INTEGRATION
Manages data pipelines, system integration, and deployment. Works closely with clients' internal teams to ensure new systems connect cleanly with existing infrastructure.
HOW WE OPERATE
Standards We Hold Ourselves To
These are not aspirational statements. They describe how we actually structure and deliver work.
Written Engagement Scope
Every project begins with a written scope document. Deliverables, timelines, and assumptions are agreed before any work starts.
Data Handling Protocol
A documented data handling protocol is prepared and shared with each client. Data access is limited to what the project actually requires.
Documented Deliverables
Every system we build is accompanied by documentation that explains how it works, how it was trained, and how it can be maintained.
Post-Delivery Support Window
We include a defined support period after delivery for questions and minor adjustments as your team begins using the system.
Ethical AI Considerations
We review each project for bias risks and unintended outcomes. We will raise concerns openly if we identify potential issues with a proposed application.
Outcome Measurement
We define measurable success criteria at scoping. At project close, we review results against those criteria together with the client.
OUR APPROACH IN PRACTICE
Applied AI in the Malaysian Context
Working in Malaysia means understanding a market where organisational data infrastructure varies widely, where multilingual text processing is often necessary, and where regulatory requirements around data handling are evolving. We design our systems with these realities in mind rather than adapting solutions built for other markets.
Industries we have worked with include insurance, financial services, media, and research organisations — all sectors where document volumes are high, manual processing is costly, and structured insight from unstructured data has clear value.
What Makes Our Work Different
We do not work from generic frameworks or pre-built models that we simply configure for each client. Each engagement involves building or adapting models to the specific characteristics of your data, your vocabulary, and your process logic.
We also keep our client list small enough that each project receives proper attention. We are not a large consultancy — we are a small, focused practice that takes on a limited number of projects per quarter so that the work quality stays where we need it to be.
